File Uploads
If you need to transfer files to us that are too big for an e-mail attachement (usually anything bigger than around 5MBs) you can use our convenient FTP site.
File prep information
Please compress your files prior to uploading. If you are using Mac OS X, there is a built-in zip utility. For those on another OS such as Microsoft Windows or Mac OS 9 please install and use a compression utility.
Ensure your files names follow this format:
1. Entire filename cannot exceed 32 characters
2. Format should be filename.extension or filename without spaces
3. Legal characters are 1-9, a-z, A-Z, ‘_’, ‘-’
Supported applications
Adobe Acrobat PDF, V. 8 or lower
Adobe InDesign, CS3 or lower
Adobe Illustrator, CS3 or lower
Adobe Photoshop, CS3 or lower
Adobe Pagemaker, V.7 or lower - Please convert to InDesign if available
Quark Xpress, V. 6.5 or lower
Macromedia Freehand, V. 10 or lower
*Microsoft applications such as Word and Publisher are not supported.
Important information
- Be sure all artwork is supplied each time a file is uploaded. Most DTP programs can Collect for Output, this simplifies the process.
- Be sure all artwork is in CMYK format.
- Fonts can be turned to paths in most major graphics applications now. If you're unsure of your output, rendering your fonts can help keep placement stable.
- If your artwork bleeds, we need one eighth inch of overage on each side that bleeds.

You can access the site with your favorite FTP client at ftp.allstar-printing.com.
Alternatively you can use our web interface:

Then provide these credentials:
Username - allstarftp
Password - printing
Be sure to upload your files into a folder bearing your company's name, create a new one if it doesn't already exist.
